Squarespace

Publish blog posts to Squarespace.

Squarespace has no public API for blog posts, so Grandranker connects one of two ways:

  • Hosted Blog (recommended): Grandranker hosts your blog on your own subdomain (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com). Nothing to paste in, nothing to maintain, immune to theme changes. See the Hosted Blog guide.
  • Embed widget: an HTML snippet pasted into a Squarespace Code block that renders your published articles on a page. Available only to accounts that already use it — new accounts go to the Hosted Blog instead.

What you need: edit access to your Squarespace site. For the embed method, Code blocks require a Business plan or higher.

How to Connect

No Squarespace card in Grandranker? Use the Hosted Blog — the recommended path for new connections. For the embed method:

  1. In Grandranker, open Integrations → Add New Integration at app.grandranker.com/integrations/create and pick Squarespace.
  2. Copy the HTML snippet shown — a <div id="grandranker-articles"> placeholder plus one <script> tag.
  3. In Squarespace, open the target page.
  4. Click an insert point → add a Code block (under "More").
  5. Paste the snippet in and save. Articles load on every page view.
  6. Back in Grandranker, click Activate embed. Every article you publish is added to the feed automatically.

Two optional feeds are also available instead of, or alongside, the widget:

  • RSS feed: RSS 2.0 with full article content — works with Zapier, Make, IFTTT, Feedly, etc.
  • JSON feed: a CORS-open JSON endpoint if you want to build your own display.

Publishing & Verifying

Publish in Grandranker and the article appears in the widget automatically, no host-page config needed. Verify by opening the Squarespace page and confirming the list renders.

Troubleshooting

The Code block option isn't available

Requires a Business plan or higher. Use the Hosted Blog instead.

The widget doesn't show any articles

  • Confirm you clicked Activate embed in Grandranker.
  • Check both the <div id="grandranker-articles"> and <script> lines were pasted.
  • Publish at least one article — only published ones appear.

The snippet was removed after a redesign

Re-add a Code block and paste the snippet again (copy it from the Squarespace integration page). Recurring? Switch to the Hosted Blog.

I want article pages, not just a list

The embed renders inside its host page. For real per-article URLs, use the Hosted Blog.
