AI Overviews & AI Visibility

When people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI a question about your industry, does your brand come up? The AI Overviews page (in the sidebar of app.grandranker.com) answers that. Grandranker asks the major AI platforms the questions your customers ask, then records whether you were mentioned, whether your site was cited as a source, and how you compare to competitors.

How scanning works

Grandranker keeps a list of monitored queries for your domain. On each scan, it sends your top active queries to every AI platform you have enabled and stores the responses as snapshots. From those snapshots it calculates mention rates, citation rates, share of voice, and sentiment.

Scans run once per week per platform to manage API costs. The Dashboard tab shows when you were last checked and when the next refresh is available. If a refresh is on cooldown, the button shows how long until it unlocks. When you enable a new platform in Settings, that platform can be scanned immediately even if the others were checked recently.

The first time you open AI Overviews, click Run First Scan. Grandranker generates query suggestions from your brand profile and starts scanning right away.

The Dashboard tab

The Dashboard is your summary view. It shows:

• AI Visibility Score: the headline score combining mentions, citations, and share of voice, with its trend over the selected period.
• Brand Mentioned: how often AI brings up your brand when asked about your industry.
• Linked to Your Site: how often AI cites your website as a source.
• Share of Voice: your share of all AI brand mentions versus competitors.
• Accuracy Score: how accurately AI models represent your brand, out of 100.

Below the score cards you get a visibility trend chart, a competitive quadrant, a share of voice breakdown, a competitor leaderboard, AI-generated insights, and visibility split by search intent. Use the days selector in the top right to switch the reporting window.

The other tabs

• Platforms: per-platform performance including mention rate, citation rate, sentiment, and rank on each AI model. See Platforms & Competitors.
• Competitors: leaderboards and trend charts comparing you against competing brands. Also covered in Platforms & Competitors.
• Queries: manage the questions Grandranker asks the AI models. See Queries & Prompts.
• Settings: choose platforms, add brand aliases, override competitors, set tracked domains, and configure alerts.

Alerts

Grandranker can alert you when something meaningful changes between scans: your brand drops from a response, a new competitor appears, sentiment shifts, a citation source changes, or your visibility score drops past a threshold you set. Configure which alerts you receive in the Settings tab.

Which AI platforms are supported?

Google AIO, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Grok. You choose which ones to monitor in the Settings tab.

Why is my visibility score low even though I rank on Google?

Google rankings and AI visibility are different systems. AI models favor content they can parse and cite: structured data, clear answers, and pages that directly address the queries people ask. Run a GEO Audit to find what is holding your site back.
