Hosted Blog DNS: Wix

Add the CNAME record for your Grandranker hosted blog in your Wix account.

Point your blog subdomain (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com) at Grandranker with one CNAME record. New to hosted blogs? Start with the Hosted Blog guide.

Works only when Wix manages your DNS. If your domain is connected by pointing (nameservers still at your registrar), add the record there instead.

How to Connect

  1. In Grandranker, go to Integrations → Hosted Blog, enter your blog subdomain (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com) — never www or your root domain, that takes your site offline.
  2. Leave the screen open. It shows the Host and Target and checks DNS automatically.
  3. In Wix, open Domains → Domain Actions → Manage DNS Records.
  4. Under CNAME (Aliases), choose Add Record, confirm the prompt.
  5. Enter the Host in Host Name, the Target in Value.
  6. Choose Save, then Save Changes.
  7. Back in Grandranker, status moves Not connected → Provisioning DNS + SSL… → Live on its own; SSL issues automatically. Once Live, published articles appear on your blog.

Troubleshooting

There is no "Manage DNS Records" option

Your domain is connected by pointing, not managed by Wix — add the CNAME at your registrar instead.

Status stays on "Provisioning DNS + SSL…"

Confirm the alias matches the exact Target from the wizard.
