Hosted Blog DNS: IONOS

Add the CNAME record for your Grandranker hosted blog in IONOS.

Point your blog subdomain (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com) at Grandranker with one CNAME record — the IONOS steps.

You need: DNS access in IONOS, plus the Host/Target values on the Hosted Blog screen (copyable).

How to Connect

IONOS must be the authoritative DNS host, and the CNAME replaces other settings for the same subdomain.

In Grandranker, Integrations → Hosted Blog, enter your blog subdomain. Not www, not your root domain — that takes your site offline.
Keep the screen open — it shows Host/Target and checks DNS automatically.
Sign in to IONOS, open Domains & SSL.
Open Actions beside the domain, choose Manage Subdomains, create/select the blog subdomain.
Open DNS for it, Add Record → CNAME.
Host goes in Hostname, Target goes in Point to.
Leave off http:///https://, set a TTL if required, save.
Back in Grandranker, status moves Not connected → Provisioning DNS + SSL… → Live on its own. Then the screen links to your blog and published articles appear there automatically.

Create it under Manage Subdomains first — required before adding a CNAME.

Propagation can take up to an hour. Confirm Point to matches exactly, no protocol prefix.
